Dr. Judith van der Horst – Graat is passionate about finding common goals and language that bridge people and organisations in food.  

She started her career over 25 years ago with a PhD. She took several managerial and director roles in corporates like Mars and Danone Nutricia, and in CRO departments of Wageningen University and Research. She also held a position as theme director Food & Health at Topsector AgriFood. She founded and led the Food & Health innovation field at Foodvalley driving collective action with frontrunners across sectors. May 2026, she founded SUN.

She is appreciated as a visionary, innovator, and practice leader in the food and nutrition domain. The result: strategic insights and alliances, concrete actions resulting in viable businesses and new healthy sustainable sectors.

In her leisure time, she enjoys being active in nature, having run four marathons, completed the Nijmegen Four Day Marches four times, and finished a 70.3 Ironman. She meditates daily and loves cooking for family and friends. Staying active outdoors and maintaining this balance helps her bring focus, energy, and resilience to her professional work.
